Britain Ireland

What European country has the best looking women?
I love European women…but which country has the hottest ones?
Britain
Ireland
Spain
France
Switzerland
Italy
Germany
Russia
Czech/Slovakia
Only place I’ve been to is Netherlands, and it sure isn’t the Dutch.
Yes they mostly have European ancestry but they’re all mostly watered down mixes of many different nations.
The women in Europe are more pure and easy to classify by country. They have very distinct looks, going from Italy, to Ireland, to eastern European nations…I like that. In America, you never know what is what and you don’t have the exotic looks.
I will have to travel to Sweden, Greece and Italy some day and see for myself. There is much I want to see in both Greece and Italy anyway, from the Roman and Macedonian Empires.
Without no shadow of doubt, ROMANIA.

Britain and Ireland $14.99 In 11 chapters, each geographic area comes alive through brisk historical narrative and lavish color photography, art, and maps.   Author Robin Currie details captivating legacies and guides us to sites where their mysteries can still be experienced: Hadrian’s Wall, testament to why the Romans didn’t occupy Scotl∧ the Arthurian legends found in medieval Welsh literature; Queen Elizabeth I and her rival Mary Stuart; centuries-old Kilkenny castle in Irel∧ the BrontËs, Daphne du Maurier, and the rich landscapes that inspired them. Meet the modern citizens of Britain and Ireland as well, and discover what life is like in the islands today. Throughout the book, quick travel tips and fun lists provide intriguing details about language origins, customs, and little-known lore. A complete index rounds out this ultimate reference. There’s nothing like it on the market today.   Wide-ranging travel author Robin Currie begins with the rich history of the Enchanted Isles, discussing such topics as the compelling saga of London, the Viking roots of 1,000-year-old Dublin, and the shipbuilding heritage of Belfast, from whence theTitanicsteamed into history. We take in the emerald vistas of Ireland, dappled with the passage tombs and ritual sites of the ancient Celts. The rugged hills of Scotland, where the Romans disparaged the inhabitants as Picts (“painted men”) for the pigments they wore in battle. And the coasts and castles of Wales, where the ancient language is still very much alive.   These islands have seen much coming and going of peoples over the centuries, and that is no less true today. Get to know the modern inhabitants of the nations, whose faces speak louder than words about diversity of modern Britain and Ireland. Throughout the book, the photography has a special feel, going beyond the expected to bring out the real character of the lands and people. For readers inspired to visit these irresistible lands,Britain and Irelanddelivers little-known secrets and insights that the practical travel guides don’t, to help us experience the countries more richly and appreciate them more deeply. Quotations from a wide range of individuals describe their favorite sites or landmarks, and lists of superlatives within a particular region (best vistas, oldest pubs, most fascinating ruins) point out spots that the average tourist would never know existed.   Whether to learn, to visit, or simply to dream–National Geographic’s Britain and Irelandprovides readers with an incomparable tour. |

Geological History of Britain and Ireland $150 Britain and Ireland have a remarkably varied geology for so small a fragment of continental crust, with a fine rock record back through three billion years of geological time. This history would have been interesting enough if it had been played out on relatively stable continental crust. However, Britain and Ireland have developed at a tectonic crossroads, on crust once traversed by subduction zones and volcanic arcs, continental rifts and mountain belts. The resulting complexity is instructive, fascinating and perplexing. Geological History of Britain and Ireland tells the region’s story at a level accessible to undergraduate geologists, as well as to postgraduates, professionals or informed amateurs. This second edition is fully revised and updated, reflecting our continually developing knowledge of the region’s geology. Full coverage is again given to the rich Precambrian and Early Palaeozoic history, as well as to later events more relevant to hydrocarbon exploration. The book is an essential starting point for more detailed studies of the regional geology. |

Rare Birds in Britain and Ireland $65 This book by a trio of rare-bird specialists is a successor to two earlier works (long out of print), Scarce Migrant Birds in Britain and Ireland (Sharrock 1974 and Rare Birds in Britain and Ireland (Sharrock 1976). It unifies both of the earlier books and updates them, adding more than 80 species to the previous total. The authors have analysed and considered some 45,000 records of scarce and rare birds in Britain and Ireland for the period 1958-85. Extreme rarities outside the period are also listed. They have produced not only a book of great fascination for those who delight in rarities for their own sake, but one that offers valuable information on changing patterns of arrival which may indicate changes of status of these birds within their breeding range.More than 300 species accounts are now included, most of them accompanied by histograms of weekly and seasonal occurrences, with maps showing distribution by counties in spring and autumn or at particular times of the year. For rarities with twelve or fewer occurrences during the period 1958-85, the place, date and other relevant information is given for each record.Every species is illustrated by a line drawing, more than 150 of them commissioned for this book, the remainder being selected from the two earlier works. |

History of Britain & Ireland $40 The History of Britain and Ireland traces the key events that shaped the societies living in the British Isles from the earliest times to the present day. From the Roman conquest of 43 CE to the Norman conquest of 1066, from the Elizabethan age of Shakespeare to the Victorian age of Charles Dickens, and from the Hundred Years War of the 14th and 15th centuries to the Iraq and Afghan wars of the 21st century, this beautifully illustrated book provides a definitive visual chronicle of the most colorful and defining episodes in British history. The story begins at least half a million years ago when humans started to make their home in Britain. Around 3000 BCE, the first Britons were making their mark on the landscape at remarkable sites such as the stone village of Skara Brae in Orkney and the earliest earthworks at Stonehenge. They entered the annals of recorded history with Julius Caesar’s exploratory expedition across the Channel in the late summer of 55 BCE. From then on the small group of islands off the west coast of Europe was never far from the center of world affairs: pioneering the industrial revolution, creating the largest empire the world has ever seen, fighting two world wars in the 20th century, and finally coming to terms with a new status in a fast-changing global economy. The History of Britain and Ireland combines a spread-by-spread narrative of events with a wealth of supporting features on the decisive turning points in the long and fascinating story of the British Isles, and on the outstanding individuals-from Geoffrey Chaucer and Queen Elizabeth I to Charles Darwin and Winston Churchill-who helped shape that story. |
